I write this blog as a way to share my ideas about teaching reading and learn from others through comments and connections. Most of what I share is free. There are some affiliate links where I make a little money. You can get all new posts sent to your email by signing up with FeedBurner in the top right side bar. You can learn about what I sell and recommend in the links at the top of this blog. I taught as an elementary teacher and Reading Recovery teacher before taking time off for my three children and business development. I continue to renew and hold a teaching certificate in the state of Montana. I'm a member of The Junior League of Billings and a Ready Readers work group member of the Best Beginnings Council of Yellowstone County. Some of my time is spent supporting the opening of a Children's Museum in Billings, Montana. This Busy Life, interviewed me in July of 2012. You can find the interview here.

I'm the creator and owner of Parent and Child Reading Assistance.

Services include in-home parties, tutoring, workshops, online sales, and consulting.

Do you live in Billings, Montana?
You could host a Beginning Reading Help Party.
Not interested in hosting a party?
We can set up a time for you to view and purchase products without hosting a party.

Hosts use 10% of sales toward their own purchases.

I share a lot of free information about teaching reading on my website, and consulting fees are reasonable.

Consulting services support parents through understanding specific needs and working personally with parents to provide the best strategies and resources to make time spent reading and writing at home fun and effective. Parents are a child's most important teacher. I will help you love reading and writing with your children. I have three of my own children and understand the challenges involved with teaching our own children. It can be fun. I promise!
In Person, Phone, FaceTime, and Google Hangouts are options for consulting services.
