I See Sam Books Are Free to Download and View Online

I recently discovered I See Sam Books. The books were published through a federally funded program in 1972 and made available in the public domain in 1977.
The original versions of 52 I See Sam books continue to be available for free. You can print, download, and view the original I See Sam books.

In 1993 changes were made to I See Sam books through the Reading For All Learners Program. The RALP versions of I See Sam books are copyrighted and can be purchased in printed form. There is also a free iPad app available. Reading For All Learners - I See Sam Phonics Books - Academic Success For All Learners Inc.

I wish I'd known about these books a year ago! I love the Bob Books we used, but this looks like the same type of set. My daughter is reading them for the fun of it and I've passed the link on to others. I'll also add it on my blog.

Thanks for posting another good link!!!

You are very welcome Mark! It's good to hear from you. I know you are in that exciting time of your daughter learning to read.
There are animated versions of I See Sam Books. When you sign up with the free trial or use a free app you'll have access to some of the animated books. Kids could read the book themselves first and then watch the animated version or watch the animated version and hear the story before reading. The link to find the free app for I See Sam books and the free trial for the online reading program can be found here. http://parentandchildreading.com/reading-programs.html

The free printable or read online versions are great too. The printable books would be fun to color.

I'm pleased to announce that the ReadingTeacher.com program of "I See Sam" animated, interactive books is now a free service. After the first 52 books (Unit 1), the ReadingTeacher program features the same characters in Books 53-80 (Unit 2) and Books 81-100 (Unit 3).

The program is now complete and covers all the phonemes and advanced aspects of the Alphabetic Code.

As we have completed the program, we no longer have the expense of developing new content, so we can offer the program free of charge.
Please login, if you have already taken the trial, or join to get a username and password:

Thank you, Francis! ReadingTeacher.com is a wonderful reading program. The animated books really motivate children to use the program. I've used this while tutoring children. There is much more to the program. I encourage everyone to try this out. I'm in contact with some after school and summer childcare programs. I can't wait to tell them about it! Offering this free of charge is amazing to say the least.
